Originating from Zulu, meaning 'home,' Khaya Kite and Yoga Hostel is the perfect place for kitesurfers, digital nomads, and yoga enthusiasts. We offer a home away from home, but better. Come for the kiting and stay for the family vibes!
Our facilities include a pool, kite-storage, wood-fired hot tub & pizza oven (watch out for our legendary pizza nights!), a garden that lends itself beautifully for yoga, work-spaces, hammocks, and much much more, providing the best experience in Blouberg. We regularly organize fun activities for our guests, while also valuing a good night's sleep. We are not a party hostel, we're up early for a hike, surf or to make money to buy new kites!
Additionally, you will find lots of nice touches like our outdoor surf shower, sick mural art, a comfortable common area with a fireplace, board games, bean bag and more. We also have a well-equipped kitchen and a braai/BBQ area. You name it, we've got it.

IMPORTANT NOTES
- We have a dog, she is protective and will bark at you when you first come in. She doesn't bite and will warm up to you fairly quickly :)
- We're about 20-25 minutes drive from Cape Town centre. This is not the perfect base to explore the city/Table Mountain etc. if you're not also into watersports
- We don't have fixed reception. Let us know what time you're coming and we'll make sure to be there to welcome you :) WhatsApp, Instagram, Email or a call
Khaya Kite & Yoga - Terms & Conditions:
Our reception operates from 9 am to 10 pm, please always let us know your arrival time as we have no receptionist. If you’d like to come earlier or later, we can arrange that, as long as you send us a message (WhatsApp or email).
Cancellation policy: Please notify us at least 72 hours before arrival. In the case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged for the first night of your stay.
Check-in is available from 12:00 to 22:00 (contact us for all check-ins, but especially outside of these hours).
Check-out is before 10:00, but once your bed is free you’re welcome to hang out for as long as you’d like.
Payment can be made upon arrival in cash or by card (add 3%). Bank transfers are also accepted.
Taxes are included.
Breakfast is not included.
No curfew is imposed.
