THE BEDROOMS
The main bedroom has a king bed and its own bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The third has a bunk with a queen below and a three-quarter on top, which suits children or a third couple. The second and third bedrooms share a full bathroom.
LIVING AND KITCHEN
The lounge has the TV with DSTV, the aircon and a cupboard of board games for rainy afternoons. The full kitchen has a gas stove top, a dishwasher and everything you need to cook for seven. The washing machine and tumble dryer are in the scullery.
THE FIVE FIRES
Light the wood-fired hot tub about two hours before you want to get in. Make your own pizzas in the wood-fired oven, about 90 seconds each. Gather round the braai for the long dinners, and move to the fire pit for the evenings after. The fifth fire is the gas stove top in the kitchen.
GOOD TO KNOW
Fresh linen is on every bed when you arrive, with a fresh set every 7 days on longer stays. The geyser is solar. There is secure parking inside the property. Firewood is sold separately. Children are welcome, and so is one small dog by arrangement. No smoking and no events.
The Golden Mile is a short walk down the road: long white sand in a sheltered bay, and the sunrise across the water. Paternoster is about 25 minutes away and Cape Town about two hours.
