Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: It was a memorable and authentic experience: To stay on a working farm in the Karoo in stables previously occupied by houses. Peace and quiet. Down to earth.

Negative: We seem to be some of the first guests and hopefully the host can address some of the issues below.. I give the highest score, but I just want people to be aware of what can happen: It's a fair drive from the public road. The farm gates can be tricky. There were not enough blankets, but luckily I brought my sleeping bag. There are lights in the room, but they shine from the side and not the ceiling. The only way to keep the door closed is by latching it. And latching it takes a little bit of effort. Then people on the other side can't open it. And there's no lock.

Summary: Some teething problems.
