Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The camp was clean and comfortable. Had a fireplace as well as an Aircon so kept the tent very warm. A big plus factor is the hot tub and braai area. Lady who cleaned the tent was very helpful and friendly.

Negative: Sad to note that customer care more so when expected from a reputable company that claims to go the extra mile in making your holiday as comfortable as possible doesn't seem to be priority. It looks like africamps wishes to squeeze the client of every bit of money that they can for simple services which generally other resorts would offer as part of customer care. It was really shocking to note that when firewood was requested from reception there was a delivery charge of R50 whereas my tent was literally a matter of few step from the reception. Generally one would expect at least one pack of complimentary firewood and a pre heated hot tub considering the cold winters and the time taken to heat up the tub after arrival. However it was to my utter amazement that there was a fee of R300 added on for pre heating your tub. I think it would also fit under boutique glamping that a complimentary bodywash and shampoo/conditioner be added in the bathroom.
